In more than 100 countries, Unisys delivers IT services, including systems integration, outsourcing, infrastructure, server technology and consulting. With 20 nations competing in 48 matches in 11 locations around Australia over six weeks, as many as 4.5 billion television viewers expected, and 10,000 accredited users expecting reliable, secure and instant access to the tournament's INF03 back-end scoring, statistics, news and information systems, Unisys had just six months to develop and deploy systems integration services, infrastructure management and outsourcing as well as enterprise server technology. For two of the solutions it was contracted to provide - the secure INF03 system, and the website - Unisys turned to Nortel Networks.
