The American University of Beirut (AUB) was founded in 1866. It is one of the oldest universities in the Middle East and has a reputation for academic excellence in the region. AUB wanted a single vendor that could offer a wide range of products and services at a sustained competitive price, and help streamline the PC ordering process. The university decided to buy Dell products through the local Dell supplier, Systems Equipment Telecommunication Services (SETS). Because of the relationship that it has established with Dell, the university can now make smaller orders at competitive prices.
