Founded in 1974, Royal Resorts now operates eight timeshare locations throughout Mexico and the Caribbean. Due to geographic challenges and impromptu organizational habits, the state of the IT infrastructure at Royal Resorts inhibited the success of its growing business. In order to improve organizational efficiency, and therefore expand member services, Royal Resorts needed to centralize applications and data to facilitate the sharing of information. In order to create an infrastructure that would enable the sharing of mission-critical information, Royal Resorts installed Dell PowerEdge 2850 servers and PowerEdge 6650 servers running the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating system to host its custom hospitality applications.
