Teachers, students and parents in the Lemon Grove School District in Lemon Grove, California, depend on the "LemonLINK" Intranet for access to school information, class instruction, office applications, centrally stored information and learning tools. With more than 100 file servers located at the district's data center, Lemon Grove's disparate storage servers experienced an average 1.5 crashes per month. Noting an increase in users and a growing dependence on LemonLINK services by schools as well as various city agencies, the district came to Hewlett-Packard Company in search of a storage solution. To address Lemon Grove's data storage needs, HP deployed a Storage Area Network (SAN) solution that provides easy access to stored data, as well as complete redundancy and centralized management - all in a scalable environment.
