This paper defines post-query strategies: these are time dependent post-query protocols that are being executed in rounds. The paper shows how existing service discovery protocols, like Jini, Bluetooth, and SLP _t within this framework. The paper proposes several new post-query strategies that can be used for locating a service in an ad-hoc network. These include: non-adaptive, deterministic, randomized, memoryless, incremental, and greedy.
