A leader in the life insurance industry with nearly 27% market share in Singapore and 23% in Malaysia, financial services company Great Eastern Holdings recognized the need to bolster its technology base to meet new challenges. The firm saw the need to update its technology to become more customer-centric and service oriented, while empowering staff and agents to take initiative by giving them better tools including profitability analysis, lead generation management, channel management and self-service HR capabilities. For its new platform, Great Eastern chose Oracle technology, including Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server, Oracle Financials and Oracle Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
