The late 1980's saw an increased market demand for cost-effective alternatives to private line networks. When frame relay emerged as one of the most popular alternatives, MCI WorldCom was able to meet customer demand with its Frame Relay service. MCI WorldCom is constantly enhancing its Frame Relay platform with new features. Three recent additions are frame relay/ATM internetworking, network-to-network interfaces (NNI), and usage-based pricing. Each of these features benefits current and future MCI WorldCom frame relay customers. ATM internetworking provides MCI WorldCom's frame relay customers an easy migration path as they move their voice and data applications to an ATM platform.
