The Department of Justice provides a wide range of legal regulatory and policy services to Victorians. Like many organisations, the Department had made a decision to move away from the soon-to-be unsupported Windows NT desktop and server platform. HP was brought in to assist with the Windows 2000 LAN migration project and also provided a managed environment solution that would better meet the Department's business needs. The automation derived from the solution will enable the Department to enforce standard server and workstation environments resulting in greater reliability and reduced support requirements for the Windows 2000 and Windows XP environments.
