Bluetooth is by far the most popular protocol for wireless ad hoc networking on the market today. It easily manages the dynamically changing topologies of the ad hoc network, provides fairly reliable connections and allows office networks to work easily across both wired and wireless connections. However, Bluetooth has its problems. It is a new technology, so the bugs and holes are still being discovered. More importantly, attackers are finding ways to hack the Bluetooth networks.
