The V-Series Shared Virtual Array (SVA) disk system features a great functionality, called SnapShot software. This SnapShot software allows the making of instantaneous copies of any single virtual disk defined within the disk subsystem. In order to take best advantage of all SnapShot software benefits, SnapShot operational steps must be integrated with the common Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) used on the host systems.
