Telecommunications company KPN offers a wide range of fixed network, broadband, mobile, and IP/data services for residential and business customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. In 2000, KPN decided to take advantage of internet technology to reduce spending on non-strategic goods and services and allow the company to work more efficiently with suppliers. The company chose Oracle to create an online procurement solution later called KPN Xchange.
