In this paper orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing code-division multiplexing (OFDM-CDM) is extended to multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems and a detection scheme called a space-frequency unified vertical-Bell Labs layered space-time scheme is developed. A CDM transform matrix appropriate for the proposed detection scheme is also constructed. Simulation results show that the proposed MIMO-OFDM-CDM can achieve both frequency diversity and high spectral efficiency.
