For Errebian, the leading office supply company in Italy, the need for more servers to support its numerous applications became a costly burden that was slowing down its business. After comparing costs and evaluating the solution, it was found that VMware software would best meet the company's needs, consolidating the company's servers and upgrading systems-wide performance. Using VMware GSX Server, Errebian has been able to simplify management of its computing infrastructure. Instead of using 10 physical servers, the company has been able to create 10 secure transportable virtual machine servers, each with its own isolated operating systems and applications, within one physical server.
