New York State has taken an important step in making its government more accessible and convenient with the State Portal Home Page and common web banner, but this is only one step. New York is already working on improvements to the portal, including customization, improved search capability across all State agency web sites, more services and transactions and more portal type Internet services. By continuing to employ a collaborative, centralized approach, New York State will be well-positioned to take these next steps successfully.
