The number of environmental laws (for example aimed at controlling pollution) has grown significantly in recent years, and it is probable that this trend will persist as environmental issues become increasingly prominent worldwide. The purpose of this paper is to seek SPCB agreement to a policy on environmental procurement that aims to minimise adverse impacts on the environment by carrying out purchasing activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
