American Swiss is South Africa's leading contemporary jewellery retailer, with nearly 200 stores nationwide and more in Namibia. In-store promotions for both American Swiss, and its sister company, Foschini jewellery stores Sterns, are produced at the central marketing department in Cape Town. To ensure that the materials are properly displayed and mounted, all stores are sent detailed instruction booklets for every new campaign. The company previously outsourced the job to an external print provider, but this was proving a costly option. An in-house solution was sought for this demanding. The answer for American Swiss is an HP Colour LaserJet 9500hdn printer with a multi finishing unit that makes the printed pages into ready-to-use booklets.
