A steady influx of new industry and jobs means an increased demand for public services in Rutherford County, Tennessee - one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States. To help county and municipal governments deliver critical services to a growing population in a rapidly changing landscape, the county needed a comprehensive new geographic information system (GIS) and the data-storage capacity to support it. Working with HP Services, Rutherford County government and the municipalities in the county joined forces to implement a storage area network built around an HP StorageWorks Modular Smart Array (MSA) system and HP ProLiant servers.
