On November 10, 2003, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve issued revisions to its index of industrial production (IP) and the related measures of capacity and capacity utilization for the period from January 1972 to September 2003. Overall, the changes are small, and most of them appear after 2000. The levels, but not the rates of change, for years before 1972 were also revised.
