The Hague and Utrecht, Groene Hart Hospital is a medium-sized regional hospital with 450 beds offering a full range of surgical and medical treatments. The IT department needed to improve productivity by cutting down the time spent on investigating and solving problems. It also wanted to get better control of costs - not only the direct cost of overtime spent on solving problems but also the hidden costs caused by customers trying to solve their own IT problems. Insight Manager is used in conjunction with HP OpenView ServiceDesk, which enables data about system abnormalities to be quickly assigned to the appropriate person and rapidly dealt with - often before a problem has actually occurred.
