When increasing server capacity to meet a growing application load, IT managers have traditionally added new boxes inside the rack. Vendors searching for ways to improve network security and increase rack and system density need high performance components that can function well with low thermal output, low power consumption, and high memory capacity. OmniCluster Technologies used the high performance Intel Pentium III processor - Low Power at 700 MHz, to develop modular server blades that increase capacity without taking up rack space.
