The new accountant-specific product was spurred by the observation that accountants used QuickBooks differently than small business owners. Specifically, the team observed that accountants used QuickBooks to do bookkeeping or perform write-ups for their small business clients. In addition, accountants often used QuickBooks to open their small business clients' QuickBooks files, so they could review the data and produce financial statements or prepare tax returns.
