This paper illustrates an effective means of administering remote control user privileges in a cross-platform environment. Enterprises, both large and small, will benefit from the many advantages in this solution, such as: a central location for configuring and administering remote control access; cross-platform operability; the ability to utilize existing users and groups on a Window's active directory domain or any LDAP server. The following components are necessary for implementing this solution in a secure network environment: the NetOp Guest and Host, the Security Server and Security Manager, and the backend database.
