A leading UK electricity and gas supplier is deploying Marimba's Desktop/Mobile Management products across its three companies, npower, npower Yorkshire Electricity, and npower Northern Electric. Marimba's technology will manage the software assets for npower's 8,500 users, including desktops and laptops. npower wanted to standardize it's software management enterprise-wide, so they embarked upon a series of vigorous benchmarking exercises. The selection process included detailed functionality comparisons of various management solutions, customer reference visits, and technical discussions with all the solution providers. Marimba was the chosen solution within a short period of time, in which time they forged an excellent pre-sales relationship with the company.
