This paper argues that the message oriented middleware is a good choice to deal with mobile environment problems. The message-passing model and the decoupling between activities of distributed components provide an answer to the problems of the frequent disconnections and terminals mobility. However, MOMs present some limitations concerning the type of service dealt with. The applications are developed according to an asynchronous model whereas the majority of the services adopt a synchronous model (request/immediate reply).
