The endogenous growth theory emphasizes the role of human capital accumulation in explaining output growth. The objective of this paper is to determine the link between the allocation of scarce human capital and the composition and repartition of value-added in manufacturing for selected African countries of Ethiopia, Kenya, and Mauritius. High share of the value-added in manufacturing industries for food and beverage and textile characterizes the manufacturing industries in these African countries.
