Beijing Mobile Communication Ltd. (BMCC) specializes in mobile telephony (including voice, data, and multimedia), IP telephony, and Internet access service. Recently, BMCC decided to consolidate and modify billing and settlement, service management, and customer service within its telecom operation support system (BOSS) and set up a centralized data center and data warehouse. The plan was initiated so that the BOSS system could be centralized and integrated to better serve its customers. Impressed with EMC's storage solution successes with China Mobile, China Telecom, and China UniCom, BMCC opted to use EMC storage products to execute its plan.
