Emak S.p.A. is a leading manufacturer of portable agricultural and gardening machinery. Emak needed to implement initiatives to simplify its product development process and reduce development costs. It needed to streamline its overall design process, improving it with a more efficient 3D computer aided design (CAD) product. Emak also needed a PDM (produce development management) solution to help it monitor and simplify the process of engineering changes, reducing time to market of new products. Emak engaged IBM Business Consulting Services to help it improve its product lifecycle management and product development process.
