At many universities, students are taught in the fields of Computer Graphics (CG) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). These two fields are usually covered in separate courses and by different textbooks, and they are taught by different professors. This paper reports on five years of teaching experience with the introductory course "Graphical-Interactive Systems", which covers basic Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Computer Graphics (CG) topics for students in the third year of their major in computer science.
