Successful realization of Grid environments may require the use of various transaction capabilities, such as transaction protocol engines and system and resources that can react to transaction stimulus (commands?). The aim of the use cases in this paper is to identify and tease out the requirements for any such components and capabilities. It aims to cover use case scenarios of both e-science and e-business applications. This paper provides information to the community regarding the Grid use case scenarios used in deducing requirements for transaction capabilities in a GRID environment.
