The purpose of the study presented in this paper was to compare the learning styles of community college students who enrolled in an off campus online course (via the Internet) and those who were taking the same course on-campus. The results of this study should have benefits for faculty and administrators, as well as students. Both of these groups will gain information regarding the learning preferences of adult students. Knowledge of students' learning styles may allow faculty to present information in a way that will accommodate those various learning styles, enable administrators to design and implement better programs, and help students to better understand their learning styles and needs.
