The Report of the Review Panel - Strategic Review of Research in Education (1992) claimed that there was a perception amongst educators and administrators that much educational research was irrelevant to them. In the present rapidly changing education environment is the perception of educational research today similar to that portrayed in the 1992 review? In order to answer these types of questions the Department of Education, Training and Youth Affairs with the Australian Research Council was keen to explore the impact of Australian educational research, in particular with respect to schools.
