D-Reizen is one of the leading travel agencies in the Netherlands. With over 160 stores across The Netherlands, five call centres and two data centres, their data network is of the utmost business critical nature. The D-Reizen business is based on selling holiday packages to the end-user consumer market an extremely time sensitive operation. As a result it is heavily dependent on the availability of the corporate data network, to deliver information in real-time to the retail outlets. The initial ISDN solution was migrated to leased line in 2000 to primarily reduce costs, as well as provide improved stability and availability. As part of the Vanco contract the client maintains Active Negotiating Positions with the carriers, which allows new technologies to be implemented enabling the data network to evolve and better fit the business needs. The new three year contract (with an additional two year option to extend) has an MPLS core with ADSL and leased line for the access circuits.
