Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS), with district offices located in Manassas, Virginia, is the third largest school district in the State with 75 schools and over 63,000 students. PWCS already is known as a national leader in site-based management of schools, and part of its success comes from a policy of standardizing infrastructure components. With regard to its information technology environment, PWCS has chosen to standardize on HP. The goal behind the vendor rationalization effort is to reduce complexity, thereby removing cost and pain from managing IT environments district-wide.
