This paper presents a frequency-domain calculation scheme for the normalized cross-correlation DTD. The paper shows that the novel detection statistic can be obtained from the pseudo-coherence vector which quantifies the level of correlation between transmission and receiving room signals. Furthermore, assuming that the adaptive algorithm of the echo canceler is a frequency-domain formulation, the complexity of the DTD is low since many of the computations can be re-used.
