Cingular Wireless Commercial Connectivity Services (CCS) for performance-driven, secure network connectivity and data transport services are designed to support the Wireless Communications needs of enterprise customers. GPRS Data Transport Service enables application access over Cingular's GPRS network and supports Multiple Push/Pull Models. GPRS networks do not have a built in provision that enables a data session to be initiated by a server. Instead, network specifications call for the mobile device to initiate contact. CCS will provide methods for pushing data to the mobile device.
