More than 140 institutions, including five of the largest banks in the United States, depend on the Visa Debit Processing Service (DPS) in Colorado to ensure transaction integrity and always-up availability for millions of consumers across the United States. DPS faced the problem in stress-test newly reconfigured IT infrastructure without impacting availability to customer base and ensure systems' ability to handle peak transaction volumes of up to 650 per second. To ensure uninterrupted service, Visa DPS runs its mission-critical transaction processing application, eFunds CONNEX Advantage, on four fault-tolerant HP NonStop S-series systems. This assured IT infrastructure to the task of peak transaction volumes.
