China National Railway Signal & Communication Co. Research and Design Institution is the largest planning and design center in China's railway communications signal industry. The Institute is working on providing wireless LAN access throughout the organization, in addition to the already established wired LAN. It is also actively promoting the use of wireless LAN applications by specifying that all mobile equipment purchased by the Institute be Intel Centrino mobile technology-based notebook PCs. With built-in wireless, GSM/GPRS, and Bluetooth connectivity and extended battery life, these high performance notebook PCs are helping staff increase their work efficiencies and enhancing productivity throughout the organization.
