Until 2003, Heritage Propane Partners, L.P. (Heritage Propane) ran a DOS-based accounting system that made it difficult to incorporate new technologies, such as Web applications and portals. There was also a far more pressing need; the Sarbanes-Oxley Act called for an immediate overhaul of Heritage Propane's IT systems. The company chose the mySAP ERP Financials solution, including the SAP Strategic Enterprise Management application and the SAP Business Intelligence component of the SAP NetWeaver platform, to help it meet its goals.
