Taiwan mobile operator Mobitai Communications contracted TELECOM MEDIA NETWORKS (an industry practice of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young), working in close partnership with Portal Software, to deliver the Infranet Wireless convergent billing solution to support new GPRS and value-added services through comprehensive integration with Mobitai's legacy GSM billing system. The challenge was to implement a billing solution capable of supporting Mobitai's plans for rapid rollout of value- added mobile services - including seamless integration with its existing BSCS 2G billing platform - as well as wireline Internet services. The solution was planning, design, and integration to achieve Mobitai's goals, based on the Infranet Wireless billing solution from Portal Software.
