The Internet is a dynamic and unpredictable network environment. Internet-enabling an application that was not intended to communicate over the Internet is not necessarily a simple task. This white paper will explore the nature of the Internet and IP-based cellular networks, and relate them to how Internet protocols can be used to the maximum benefit for M2M applications. It will review the features of Connect One's iChip and discuss how iChip eliminates the time, cost and complexity of connecting devices running M2M applications to the Internet via IP-based 2.5G and 3G cellular networks.
