Because 3G mobile service and the e-commerce it will promote are the key to the future of the telecommunications market, as well as an important stimulus for national economic growth, the Committee urges the government to provide all appropriate assistance to 3G operators to protect and promote the development of the 3G service market. In particular, the Committee requests that the government designate 3G telecom services as a "new important strategic industry" and provide a statutory five-year tax holiday to 3G businesses.
