Winstone Wallboards is sole New Zealand manufacturer of plasterboard/drywall for residential and commercial markets. As the company's product lines became more complex and the competitive environment called for greater business efficiency and predictability, Winstone Wallboards sought a supply chain solution. They needed a streamlined supply chain that could integrate the front end-the customer needs-with the back end-the raw material suppliers. They chose PeopleSoft because it would better support their business vision and process improvements than the existing platform. This implementation integrated supply chain, improvements in raw materials and finished goods inventories and processed and operations cost efficiencies. This increased raw material forecast usage accuracy from 60 to 90%.
