Texas Instruments' AR7 DSL modem supports the new, higher-data rate ADSL2 and ADSL2+ standards. By doubling the bandwidth, ADSL2+ allows higher rates (up to 24 Mbps in the downstream direction) over short- to mid-range loops. Despite the different bandwidth and sampling requirements for ADSL2/2+ and READSL (Reach-Extended ADSL), AR7's highly-flexible architecture allows for a single-chip ADSL2/2+/READSL solution.
