The word "spyware" was first used to satirize Microsoft's products in a humorous post about Microsoft's business model on the Usenet on Oct. 16, 1995. Today there is more and more spyware software that compromises people's privacy rights and does harm to computers. This is now a worldwide concern. Therefore this paper gives a methodology to detect, analyze and remove this type of software.
