In a City Police Department, most staff members have a mission-critical role that requires instant and ongoing communication. City of Gresham desired a brand-new messaging infrastructure for both critical and non-critical incidents. The City installed and implemented the Emergin Communication Gateway, which allows each team member to access messaging capabilities directly from their PC. It resulted in decreased time of message transmission from 15+ minutes to multiple seconds, increased message reliability to virtually 100 percent, enhanced departmental processes which allow team members to access department information, files, or criminal records instantly, increased accountability from message log reports/audit trails and easy system administration and ability to troubleshoot devices.
