The client is The Phoenix Homeland Defense Team. The Homeland Defense Team will plan the coordinated efforts in the preparation, detection, prevention, responses to and recovery from large-scale incidents, whether they are caused by nature, accidental or intentional (including terrorist incidents) within Phoenix or surrounding regional areas. Tablet PCs provide a lightweight, portable computing solution. Officials at a disaster site can plan strategy directly on GIS maps, effortlessly communicate with various team leaders and provide instant in-the-field access to a plethora of data. Gateway Tablet PCs help bridge long-standing communication gaps between Phoenix Police and Fire departments.
