FUJITSU LIMITED and FUJITSU LABORATORIES LIMITED have jointly developed a new design methodology for SoC based on UML (Unified Modeling Language) and C (C++/ SystemC) programming languages. By comprehensively reviewing the upstream design processes from SoC specification through to RTL (Register Transfer Level), this new design methodology have brought substantially improved design efficiency. This will lead to successfully reduced design time for upstream processes by about one-third compared to conventional design methods.
