Meadows Realty is engaged in residential real estate business. The main office has a local area network (LAN), but the branch site had no network to which its three employees could link their computers. As a result, the realtor had been relying on fax, courier and telephone for inter-site communications, but these methods were slow, costly and inefficient. Meadows Realty used 3Com OfficeConnect solutions to provide its branch office with a local area network (LAN) and link its two offices with a wide area network (WAN). At its main site, the company installed an OfficeConnect Remote 812 ADSL Router and an OfficeConnect Firewall 25 with the OfficeConnect VPN Software Upgrade.
