Those who are seriously considering the introduction of an object oriented development process will sooner or later want to get hold of a UML tool. In the meantime, a number of software development tools are available for embedded systems. For instance, the "Artisan Real-Time Studio 4.1" from Artisan Software, "Rational Rose RealTime" from Rational Software, "Rhapsody" from I-Logix or the "Together Control Center" from Togethersoft. The slight differences can have a great effect upon the implementation in projects using C and C++, on real-time systems such as "VX-Works" and "OS-9" and on Windows.
