Thermal printers are starting to catch on in pharmacy. Several large chains have installed these printers, mainly because they help improve workflow and operating efficiency in the pharmacy. Thermal printers are the ideal solution for separating the printing of vial labels and the auxiliary warning labels from the printing of patient advisory leaflets (PALs) and receipts, which can be handled by the laser printer.
